Job summary

Pinelake Church invites applicants to an 11-week summer internship beginning May 2027, aimed at developing the next generation of ministry leaders. You will serve alongside staff in NextGen ministries (preschool–12th grade) with hands-on ministry experience, leadership training, and personal spiritual growth.

Interns are assigned to Pinelake campuses (Clinton, Madison, Reservoir, Oxford, Starkville) with housing provided if needed, a paid internship, and opportunities to explore other ministries

Qualifications

• Freshman year of college completed.
• Commitment to Christian ministry.

Responsibilities

• Be a growing disciple of Christ.
• Invest spiritually in children and students who follow you.
• Assist in the preparation and execution of summer camps, programs, and events in Kids and Student ministries among all Pinelake campuses.
• Provide servant leadership where needed.
• Participate in weekend services and ministry-specific events at Pinelake Church through the summer.
• Attend orientation, training, and debriefing events; and,
• Follow the policies and procedures of Pinelake Church.

An 11-week summer internship beginning May 2027, designed to equip and inspire the next generation of ministry leaders. As a summer intern, you’ll serve alongside our staff to support NextGen ministries (preschool through 12th grade) with the potential to explore other areas of ministry based on your passions and interests. Throughout the summer, you’ll gain hands‑on ministry experience, leadership training, and personal spiritual development that will prepare you to make an impact for Christ now and in the future.

Specific list of duties and responsibilities:

• Be a growing disciple of Christ;
• Have completed your freshman year of college;
• Invest spiritually in children and students who follow you;
• Assist in the preparation and execution of summer camps, programs, and events in Kids and Student ministries among all Pinelake campuses;
• Provide servant leadership where needed;
• Participate in weekend services and ministry-specific events at Pinelake Church through the summer;
• Attend orientation, training, and debriefing events; and,
• Follow the policies and procedures of Pinelake Church.

All duties and responsibilities are expected to be performed with excellence in a manner that glorifies Christ and furthers the mission and ministry purposes of Pinelake Church.

Location

• Interns will be assigned to one of Pinelake's campuses which include Clinton, Madison, Reservoir (Brandon), Oxford, and Starkville.
• Paid Internship- Earn while you gain valuable ministry experience.
• Housing Provided (if needed)- Potential placement with a host home for the summer.
• Hands-On Leadership Experience- Grow your skills in leading, serving, and developing others.
