Baptist Health Corbin in Corbin, Kentucky, invites applications for the 2027 Nurse Extern Program. The paid, 10-week clinical education experience is designed for ADN and BSN nursing students in the final semester, offering hands-on hospital exposure and mentorship from experienced nurses.

Participants will gain confidence, strengthen clinical skills, and learn what it takes to join the Baptist Health Corbin nursing team as a Registered Nurse. The program also covers in-state tuition costs.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in or entering the final semester of an accredited ADN or BSN nursing program.
• Current CPR or BLS certification.
• Current school transcript.
• Successful completion of all applicable program and employment requirements.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on hospital experience while working with experienced nursing professionals.
• Build confidence and strengthen clinical skills during the externship.
• Experience what it is like to be part of the Baptist Health Corbin nursing team before becoming a Registered Nurse.

Summary Job Description: 2027 Nurse Extern Program Baptist Health Corbin | Corbin, Kentucky Baptist Health Corbin is now accepting applications for our 2027 Nurse Extern Program! The Nurse Extern Program is a paid, 10-week clinical education experience designed for ADN and BSN nursing students entering or enrolled in the final semester of an accredited nursing program. Nurse Externs gain valuable hands-on hospital experience while working alongside experienced nursing professionals in a supportive clinical environment. This is an opportunity to build your confidence, strengthen your clinical skills, expand your nursing knowledge, and experience what it is like to be part of the Baptist Health Corbin nursing team before beginning your career as a Registered Nurse. In addition to paid participation, the Nurse Extern Program includes payment of in-state tuition, reflecting Baptist Health Corbin's commitment to developing and supporting future nursing professionals. Interviews for the 2027 Nurse Extern Program will be held November 3 and November 5, 2026.
