Job summary

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD) invites a Masters Software Engineer Intern/Co-op to join our team in Boxborough, MA. You will work at the intersection of AI ecosystems, collaborating with experts to build and maintain software applications while gaining real-world experience on impactful projects.

Eligible candidates are enrolled in a US-based Master's program in CS/CE/EE or related fields. The role offers full-time 40 hours weekly, with hybrid or onsite work structures and multiple 2027 term

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a US-based university pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Knowledge/experience with software engineering concepts and markup languages (HTML/XML/XSL).
  • Familiarity with defect tracking, testing and debugging.
  • Experience with Git, Github or Perforce.
  • Understanding of security technologies such as OAuth, SSL or TLS.
  • Understanding of PC/CPU architecture and embedded systems.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with software engineers to build and maintain AMD software applications.
  • Receive training across the full software development lifecycle: design, build, test and deployment.
  • Create scripts to automate parts of the development process.
  • Learn debugging methodologies to identify root causes of issues.
  • Possibly contribute to drafting technical or functional documents and reports.

  • Onsite/Hybrid:This role requires the student to work full time (40 hours a week), in either a hybrid or onsite work structure throughout the duration of the co-op/intern term

  • Summer Internship:
  • Semester Students: May 24, 2027 - August 13, 2027
  • Summer/Fall Co-op:

WhatYouWillBeDoing

We areseekinghighlymotivated Software Engineering co-op to join our team at AMD. In this role -

  • We will assign you responsibilities in which you will work closely with our software engineers to build andmaintain our software applications.
  • We willprovide training on the full software creation process, from design andbuiltto testing and deployment.
  • We will encourage you to build scripts that automate some of our software development process.
  • We will help you learn debugging methodologies to investigate the root cause of software issues.
  • In certain projects we may have your involvement in crafting technical/functional documents and reports asneeded.
Who We Are Looking For
  • Currently enrolled in a US based University in a Master's degree program majoring in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline
  • If you haveknowledge / experience with any of the following technical skills (or related areas) and are enthusiastic about this role, we strongly encourage you to apply -
