Job summary

Under Canvas is seeking a Laundry Supervisor to lead a team of Laundry Attendants and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness for our glamping guests. You will work in a seasonal, hourly capacity at our West Yellowstone site, with housing options available for the duration of employment.

Responsibilities include coordinating with camp leadership, maintaining laundry workflows, and upholding Under Canvas quality and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • 1+ years laundry supervisor experience preferred.
  • Ability to lead a team and set clear expectations.

  • Interact regularly with co-workers and guests in a genuine, professional manner.
  • Communicate effectively and build staff skills, knowledge, and abilities.
  • Meet regularly with camp leadership to ensure overall camp success and guest satisfaction.
  • Demonstrate the ability to problem solve independently or with your team and/or supervisor.
  • Seek opportunities to ensure guests have everything they need.
  • Lead by example and follow Under Canvas protocols.
  • Participate in meetings to inform staff about events, arrivals, and updates.
  • Maintain a clean laundry area and follow OSHA/HAZCOM procedures.
  • Work efficiently to meet deadlines while upholding high standards.
  • Manage linen inventory and par levels.
  • Follow linen quality control procedures and discarding when needed.
  • Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, and coaching team members.
  • Lead laundry team in Under Canvas sustainability efforts.

Summary

As a Laundry Supervisor, you play an important role in creating a memorable first impression for our guests from the moment they enter their tent. We are known for providing guests with a glamping experience that includes all the comforts and luxury of home. Your role is to ensure you and your team of Laundry Attendants provide our teams and guests with the cleanest possible materials that meet the highest standards for our guests to enjoy their stay. This is a seasonal, hourly position and includes the option of team member housing for the duration of employment.

  • Work efficiently to meet deadlines while maintaining high standards

  • Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, and coaching team members

Preferred Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • +1 years laundry supervisor experience preferred
  • Ability to set clear expectations and lead a team
  • Strong communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Previous inventory experience preferred
Additional Information
  • This position requires the individual to wear and work in personal protective equipment, when applicable.
  • This position requires that the individual is able to lift a minimum of 45lbs independently.
  • Physical demands associated with this position include extensive walking, standing, bending, twisting, lifting, and maneuvering in an outdoor environment on uneven surfaces.
  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions including but not limited to heat, cold, rain, snow, humidity, and wind.
  • This position is contingent upon the satisfactory completion of a background check and/or motor vehicle records check, if requested by Under Canvas.
