Job summary

Under Canvas Inc. is seeking a Laundry Supervisor to lead a team of Laundry Attendants in delivering the cleanest materials for guests throughout their glamping stay.

This seasonal, hourly position includes housing options for the duration of employment and a strong emphasis on safety and hospitality. You will oversee equipment, inventory, and staff development, coordinating with camp leadership to ensure guest satisfaction and smooth operations in varying conditions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years laundry supervisor experience preferred.
• Ability to set clear expectations and lead a team.
• Strong communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Previous inventory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate stamina to work long hours in varying weather conditions.
• Interact regularly with co-workers and guests in a genuine, professional manner.
• Communicate effectively and build staff skills, knowledge, and abilities.
• Meet regularly with camp leadership to ensure overall camp success and guest satisfaction.
• Problem solve independently or with your team and/or supervisor.
• Ensure guests have everything they need and lead by example.
• Follow Under Canvas operational standards and protocols.
• Participate in meetings to inform laundry staff about events, groups, and arrivals.
• Maintain a clean laundry area and follow OSHA/HAZCOM procedures.
• Manage linen inventory and par levels.
• Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, and coaching team members.
• Lead the laundry team in Under Canvas sustainability efforts.

Summary

As a Laundry Supervisor, you play an important role in creating a memorable first impression for our guests from the moment they enter their tent. We are known for providing guests with a glamping experience that includes all the comforts and luxury of home. Your role is to ensure you and your team of Laundry Attendants provide our teams and guests with the cleanest possible materials that meet the highest standards for our guests to enjoy their stay. This is a seasonal, hourly position and includes the option of team member housing for the duration of employment.

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the stamina to work long hours in varying weather conditions

• Maintain a clean laundry area and follow proper OSHA/HAZCOM procedures
• Work efficiently to meet deadlines while maintaining high standards

• Follow proper procedures for linen quality control and discarding when needed
• Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, and coaching team members
• Lead the laundry team in Under Canvas sustainability efforts

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• +1 years laundry supervisor experience preferred
• Ability to set clear expectations and lead a team
• Strong communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Previous inventory experience preferred

Additional Information

• This position requires the individual to wear and work in personal protective equipment, when applicable.
• This position requires that the individual is able to lift a minimum of 45lbs independently.
• Physical demands associated with this position include extensive walking, standing, bending, twisting, lifting, and maneuvering in an outdoor environment on uneven surfaces.
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions including but not limited to heat, cold, rain, snow, humidity, and wind.
• This position is contingent upon the satisfactory completion of a background check and/or motor vehicle records check, if requested by Under Canvas.
