Textron Systems in New Orleans seeks a 2027 Intern - Integration Test Engineer (Marine) to support Navy collaboration, review engineering drawings, analyze interfaces, and help troubleshoot complex marine systems.

Qualifications

• Proficient CAD modeling using Solidworks.
• Ability to obtain a Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support Navy customer to maximize up time and minimize recurrence of issues.

• Create, maintain, and communicate documentation on all efforts.
• Analyze and maintain interface control documents and other technical docs for troubleshooting.

• Independently assess complex issues across multiple craft systems.
• Analyze electrical and mechanical drawings and apply data to troubleshooting.

About This Role

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Support the Navy customer to maximize up time and minimize recurrence of issues
• Review engineering drawings, designs, specifications and products for assessment of system
• Create, maintain, and communicate through documentation on all efforts
• Analyze and maintain interface control documents and other technical documents required to troubleshoot the craft
• Familiarize and analyze applicable MIL-STD, MIL-DTL, MIL-HDBK, and similar standards documentation related to craft design
• Independently assess complex issues crossing multiple craft systems
• Analyze electrical, mechanical drawings and apply data to ongoing troubleshooting
• Analyze textual vendor and customer documentation and apply to ongoing troubleshooting
• Develop imaginative, thorough, practicable technical solutions to a wide range of difficult system or systems problems

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or have completed a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field
• Working knowledge of CAD modeling using a major CD software package (Solidworks)
• Ability to obtain a Security Clearance
