Job summary

New York Life Insurance Co. invites rising sophomores, juniors and seniors to join its 10-week Summer Internship in Human Resources.

The program blends hands-on projects with learning opportunities, networking with mentors and senior leaders, and exposure to talent acquisition, employer branding, and talent management. Interns work on a hybrid schedule with most Mondays and Fridays remote, and locations include New York, NY; White Plains, NY; or Jersey City, NJ.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled at an accredited 4-year university with anticipated graduation between Dec 2027 and May 2030.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities are essential.
• Demonstrated leadership or meaningful contributions in campus or community activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with strategic recruitment efforts and candidate experience initiatives (Talent Acquisition).
• Contribute to content creation, social media strategy, and campaigns highlighting company culture (Employer Branding).
• Partner on programs focused on employee engagement, performance, and development (Talent Management).
• Support DEI initiatives and collaboration with Employee Resource Groups to advance inclusion.

As part of your summer, you’ll participate in learning and development activities, gaining insight into our business and how our company functions. The summer internship program also includes additional social and networking opportunities where you will be able to expand your network with peers, mentors and senior leaders.The Summer Internship opportunity is 10 weeks long, beginning Tuesday June 1st, 2027, and concluding Thursday, August 5, 2027. Interns will work on a hybrid schedule with Mondays and Fridays remotely.Internship opportunities may be located in: New York, NY, White Plains, NY or Jersey City, NJ. Location is dependent upon the exact team you are aligned to; however, you will be able to specify your preferences on the job application.What You’ll Do:Join New York Life’s Human Resources team and gain hands-on experience in shaping the future of our workforce.
