Job summary

Nestlé USA is launching an HR Development Program (HRDP) to cultivate HR Business Partners for factory and distribution center locations across the U.S. Over 24 months, you'll gain exposure to People Analytics, Labor & Employee Relations, Total Rewards, and Employment Law, with hands-on projects and a quarterly HR Leadership Team presentation.

You will graduate into a full-time HR Generalist role with support from a direct report manager, a senior HR mentor, and a peer ambassador.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree completed and available to start the program by June 2027.
  • Preferred majors include Business Administration, Human Resources, Labor and Employment Relations, or related fields.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred.
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing environment and/or HR internship preferred.
  • Willingness to relocate throughout program and career.
  • Willingness to support off shift coverage and work extended hours as needed.
  • Sponsorship for work visas are not available for this program.

  • Learn and apply HR Business Partner activities in a factory or distribution center setting.
  • Deliver quarterly presentations to the HR Leadership Team with findings and recommendations.

  • Drive development of people processes to attract, train, and retain top talent.
  • Build collaborative relationships with business partners and union management where applicable.
  • Demonstrate skills in performance management, communications, and employee relations within local HR priorities.

Our goal is to cultivate a talented pool of exceptional HR Business Partners, poised to become future leaders in our factory and distribution center locations.

Over 24 months , you will gain invaluable exposure working in diverse manufacturing and distribution facilities across multiple U.S. cities. You will receive in-depth learning experiences led by our top HR Specialist groups, including People Analytics, Labor & Employee Relations, Total Rewards, Employment Law, and our various Talent specialists. These learnings will be put into practice immediately during your time in the program.

At Nestlé, our HRDPs serve as strategic partners, leveraging their HR expertise to tackle real-world business challenges and contribute significantly to the success of our iconic product lines. You will play a key role in driving employee development, managing employee and labor relations, interpreting policies and contracts, overseeing compensation administration, staffing, and ensuring legal compliance.

What sets our program apart is the responsibility entrusted to our trainees, coupled with extensive support. You will benefit from the guidance of dedicated direct report managers, a seasoned HR Leadership mentor, and a peer ambassador. This comprehensive network will empower you to excel, facilitating your growth into a well-rounded HR professional.

Program Breakdown:
  • Dive into cutting-edge strategic immersion experiences across multiple vital HR areas, such as recruitment, compensation, talent management, people analytics, organizational development, and employee benefits.
  • Immerse yourself in the world of HR as you learn and apply essential HR Business Partner activities, gaining a solid foundation in the daily responsibilities of an HR Generalist in a factory or distribution center setting. This is your chance to make a real impact and shape the culture with our associates and leaders.
  • Take charge of exciting HR projects from various specialist groups, showcasing your skills and expertise. This includes delivering a quarterly presentation to the esteemed HR Leadership Team, where you'll present your findings and recommendations.
  • Foster open and effective communication with employees, serving as a trusted advisor and liaison between associates and management. Provide guidance on policies and procedures to maintain a productive and positive work environment.
  • Drive the development and implementation of people processes that attract, train, and retain top talent, aligning with the organization's short and long-term business goals. Offer mentorship and support to supervisors in navigating people management and development challenges.
  • Build strong and collaborative relationships with business partners, employee client groups, and, where applicable, union management. Foster an inclusive and diverse work environment that values teamwork and collaboration.
  • Demonstrate skills in performance management, employee communications, employee relations processes, and local HR initiatives and priorities. Ensure flawless execution of these critical HR functions, contributing to the overall success of the site and organization.

Graduation Placement Assignment (Program Completion)

Upon completing your 24 month program, you'll graduate from our dynamic HR Development Program and step into a full-time HR Generalist role where you’ll continue building your career in factory HR. These positions offer a comprehensive and immersive experience, tailored to the needs of ambitious professionals like you.   • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred, but not required
  • Must possess strong presentation and training skills
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access). Preferred experience with an HRIS system (such as SAP, SuccessFactors)

The approximate pay for this position is $70,000 annually. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skill and abilities as well as geographic location. Nestlé offers performance-based incentives and a competitive total rewards package, which inculdes a 401k with company match, healthcare coverage and a broad range of other benefits.
