Job summary

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate major in construction safety or related field.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Visit active job sites to observe safety practices and learn risk controls.
• Assist in safety documentation, record keeping, and incident reporting.
• Support risk analysis by identifying hazards and suggesting mitigations.
• Help manage incident reporting and ensure compliance across sites.

This internship is for undergraduate students pursuing Construction Safety, Occupational Safety and Health (OSH), Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), Construction Management (CM), or similar majors.

Our internship program provides a hands-on experience in construction safety, giving you a front-row seat to job site safety, risk analysis and mitigation, safety documentation, and case management. You’ll work alongside industry professionals to support world-class safety initiatives, conduct audits, and help reinforce a culture of safety.

FOCUS AREAS

• Job Site Safety: Visit active job sites to learn the risks and safety precautions taken to ensure teams go home safely every day.
• Safety Documentation: Learn how record keeping ensures compliance, tracks trends, and supports continuous job site safety.
• Risk Analysis: Help identify potential hazards and implement proactive solutions.
• Management and Mitigation: Ensure proper handling of incidents, facilitate timely reporting, and support employees in reducing risks all while maintaining compliance.

• Valid Driver's License
• Reliable transportation to the Kent Companies officeand to area job sites/work location(s).
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Undergraduate student pursuing Construction Safety, OSH, EHS, CM, or similar majors.
• Authorized to work in the United Sates without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.
