Job summary

Guardian Life Insurance Company of America is offering a 2027 Summer Intern position in Digital & Technology – Cloud & DevOps. This paid 10-week program immerses you in daily operations of a global financial services company, with hands-on projects, exposure to senior leaders, and cross-office networking.

Interns must have basic cloud knowledge and programming familiarity (Python/Java or IaC) and a collaborative mindset.

2027 Guardian Summer Intern, Digital & Technology – Cloud & DevOps Our 2027 Summer Internship Program is a paid 10-week learning experience where you will be immersed in the daily environment of a thriving global financial services company. You will gain invaluable industry and organizational knowledge through daily business interactions and job assignments, in addition to engaging in projects that directly affect our business, interact with senior leaders in conversational settings, and network with employees and interns across our offices. This 10-week internship provides you with realistic experiences and information of what it is like to work at Guardian. For all roles, teams are assigned mid-spring. Doing so offers the ability to assign program participants to real-time, business-critical needs.

Internship Dates

The internship program will run from Thursday, May 27, 2027- Friday, August 6, 2027. We review applications on a rolling basis. The application window will close on Friday, November 13th, 2026, at 11:59PM ET or when role(s) have been filled, whichever comes first.

Required Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of cloud computing concepts & principles
• Familiarity with at least one programming language, such as Python, Java, or Infrastructure as Code languages
• Willingness to collaborate with a broad range of subject matter experts across the organization
• Curiosity and the ability to research/drill down into complex technical problems and arrive at potential solutions
• Passion for learning and innovation

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with version control systems, such as Git

Eligibility

Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization. F-1 visa holders with Optional Practical Training (OPT) who will require H-1B status, TNs, or current H-1B visa holders will not be considered. H1-B and green card sponsorship are not available for this position. You must be available for the full program dates of the internship program.

Salary Range

$20.00 - $35.00 The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
