The Future Talent Program features internships that last up to 12 weeks and will include one or more projects. This opportunity within our manufacturing Division will provide you with hands‑on experience in both project management, change management, as well as cross‑functional collaboration. The Manufacturing Strategy, Business Development and Alliances (MSBDA) group is responsible for the development and realization of the Manufacturing division and oversees core enterprise manufacturing functions. The team designs, executes, and monitors processes required to deliver our Manufacturing Division strategic portfolio commitments, as well as managing business development, strategic alliances, and manufacturing strategy. The organization also provides project, program, and change management support for prioritized projects within the divisional portfolio. The MSBDA intern will support project management and business realization initiatives led by the MSBDA organization. This individual must be a quick learner with the ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment. This role requires strong problem‑solving capabilities, the ability to synthesize complex data into concise, actionable measures, and the ability to make rapid, sound decisions. The candidate must also demonstrate strong partnership and communication skills to enable interfacing with stakeholders. The MSBDA intern will complete one or more projects over a 10 to 12-week period beginning late May or early June 2027. This experience will provide you with the opportunity to develop your business acumen, as well as provide you with insight into pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Potential Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):

• Strategy Development: Support the creation strategies aligned with stakeholder business requirements to drive key performance indicators (KPIs) and maximize company value.
• Negotiation Planning & Execution: Assist in developing pre-negotiation plans, support negotiation sessions, and perform post-negotiation analysis and follow-up.
• Contract Management: Assist in managing contracts and commitments to ensure appropriate terms and compliance.
• Data Analytics & Business Intelligence: Leverage data analytics and visualization tools to analyze datasets, identify spend trends, and generate actionable insights that support strategic sourcing decisions.
• AI & Digital Procurement Innovation: Explore and evaluate emerging digital technologies and artificial intelligence solutions to help optimize supplier management workflows and support digital transformation initiatives.
• Project Management: Support sourcing and cross-functional projects by following project management processes and tools to track progress and communicate with stakeholders.
• Knowledge Sharing: Produce high-quality work and share best practices across teams and regions to foster continuous improvement and collaboration.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Skills:

Candidates must currently be enrolled in a minimum of a BS in one of the following: Bioengineering Biomedical Engineering Biotechnology Chemical Engineering Industrial Engineering Mechanical Engineering Biochemistry Chemistry Microbiology Packaging Must be available for a period of 10-12 weeks, beginning June 2027.

Preferred Experience & Skills:

GPA 3.0 or higher Previous experience in the pharmaceutical/animal health industry or within a Fortune 500 company preferred. Demonstrated academic excellence. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. A digital-first mindset with an interest or experience in leveraging emerging technologies, such as Generative AI, AI productivity tools (e.g., Co-pilot), or automated business workflows. Strong personal integrity and ethical standards. Excellent interpersonal and interaction skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all organizational levels and diverse teams. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently, demonstrating accountability and initiative. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to deliver clear and concise presentations. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, with a results-oriented mindset to drive impactful outcomes. Proven leadership potential and growth-oriented behaviors, including a commitment to continuous learning and development.
