Job summary

PJT Partners in San Francisco is seeking an Analyst for the 2027 Full Time Analyst Program – Strategic Advisory. Based in our San Francisco office, you will join a technology-focused investment banking team and participate in pitches and live transactions while rotating across assignments.

You will perform financial analysis, prepare client presentations, and help with due diligence, while developing fundamentals in accounting, finance, and deal execution under senior bankers’ guidance.

Program Description

The Strategic Advisory group consists of one of the most experienced investment banking teams in the industry, and has been involved in some of the largest, most complex transactions of the past twenty years. Our global team focuses on a diverse set of industries, including financial institutions, healthcare, industrials, energy, power & utilities, real estate, and technology, media & telecommunications.

This position is based in our San Francisco office and is part of our dedicated technology investment banking team. As the global hub for innovation and global technology leadership, San Francisco offers unparalleled exposure to dynamic companies across software, semiconductors, technology infrastructure, and other tech-enabled sectors. Upon completion of training, Analysts will have the opportunity to participate in all aspects of pitches and live transactions while being staffed on a number of assignments at once. Analysts will assume an integral role, with exposure to a full set of Analyst responsibilities (as described below) often working directly with senior level bankers.

Roles & Responsibilities

Analysts will work on a wide range of transactions including sell-sides, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, restructurings, recapitalizations, private placements and leveraged buyouts. Analysts are expected to be involved with the development, structuring and financing of transactions and regularly attend client and internal meetings, negotiations and due diligence sessions.

Analyst Work Will Include

• Financial analysis and modeling
• Drafting of client presentations
• Preparation of memoranda for internal and external use
• Conducting financial and other business related research
• Coordinating complex and often time sensitive processes
• Active involvement in client facing roles
• Assistance in the execution of transactions

Expected Annualized Base Salary of $120,000
