As a program analyst, you’ll develop client materials, financial models, and market commentary, while engaging in formal training, mentorship, and cohort‑based development to accelerate your technical and professional

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree with a December 2026 or Spring 2027 graduation target.
  • Ability to start the program on July 12, 2027.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support pricing, valuation, and execution of market products for sales, trading, and structuring teams.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to inform client decisions.
  • Prepare client-facing materials such as market commentary, hedging strategies, pricing, and decks.
  • Assist with trade lifecycle tasks including documentation, confirmations, and issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (credit, legal, operations) to support approvals and execution.
  • Participate in formal training and mentorship within the program.

Job Description

The Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities Development Program is a full‑time opportunity designed to build future capital markets professionals through hands‑on experience, structured training, and progressive responsibility. Program members are aligned to a specific product area and contribute meaningfully to client transactions, market analysis, and strategic initiatives.

What you’ll do
Responsibilities may include:
  • Support sales, trading, and structuring teams by assisting with pricing, valuation, & execution of market products
  • Conduct market research and analysis
  • Prepare client‑facing materials such as market commentary, hedging strategies, indicative pricing, and presentation decks
  • Assist with trade lifecycle support, including documentation, confirmations, and issue resolution
  • Partner with internal teams (credit, legal, operations) to support approvals, documentation, and execution
  • Participate in formal training, mentorship, and cohort‑based development programming designed to accelerate technical and professional growth

This role is designed for candidates who may be placed in Macro (Rates, FX, and Repo) or Commodities based on business demand, interests, and skill alignment.

As a full‑time program analyst, you will:
  • Support the origination, structuring, & execution of capital markets transactions across a designated product area
  • Develop client materials, financial models, credit analysis, and market commentary
  • Monitor financial markets and investor dynamics to inform execution and client advice
  • Partner cross‑functionally with coverage teams, risk, legal, and operations
  • Build long‑term client relationships through ongoing coverage and execution support
Who we’re looking for
Basic qualifications:
  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Financial Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field with a target graduation date of December2026 or Spring2027
  • Ability to start the program on July12,2027
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
Preferred qualifications:
  • GPA of 3.3 or above
  • Solid foundation in quantitative processes, economics, and/or financial markets
  • Understanding of: Fixed income concepts and derivative products; Global foreign exchange markets and currency dynamics; Global commodities market and associated dynamics
  • Interest in market risk management and client focused solutions
  • Well‑developed analytical and quantitative skills
  • Comfort working under time pressure with high volumes of information and transactions

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).

Pay Range: $81,345.00 - $95,700.00
