Job summary

Regions offers a college internship opportunity at the Riverchase Operations Center in Hoover, AL. The intern will participate in data analytics, digital banking or related areas, with training and mentorship as part of a structured program.

Responsibilities include supporting administrative tasks, research, project assistance, and attending meetings to build core finance skills. Onsite work lasts 11 weeks with 40 hours per week, ideal for students pursuing business analytics or MIS.

Primary Responsibilities

• Receives exposure to all basic functions of assigned group within the financial industry


• Exposed to a wide range of tasks including research, administrative and correspondence work and attend meetings

• Gains valuable insight within a variety of functions while strengthening core skills and knowledge needed to launch a successful career


• Responsibilities will vary by internship

This position requires the tracking of time and is eligible for overtime hours worked in excess of 40 per week under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

The Technology, Operations, Digital, and Data - Analytics Intern will gain experience applying their technical and analytical skills through placement in one of the following potential areas:

• Data & Analytics, including Data Engineering, Data Management and/or Data Science


• Digital Banking


• Financial Crimes Unit

Preferences

• Proficiency in Python, SQL, or SAS


• Experience with visualization software such as Power BI or Tableau

Additional Requirements

• College student pursuing undergraduate or graduate degree majoring in: Business Analytics, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Math, Data Science or related degrees


• Final graduation between December 2027-May 2029


• Ability to work 40 hours a week for 11 weeks onsite in Birmingham, AL
