Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking software engineering interns for the Defense Systems Sector in Roy, Utah. The internship offers hands-on experience with Core Platform and Repos teams, applying Kubernetes practices and GitLab usage.

Applicants must be enrolled full-time in CS/CE/AE, available for at least 10 weeks in Summer 2027, with US citizenship able to obtain security clearance. GPA preference noted; prior security clearance preferred.

Northrop Grumman is seeking software engineering students for an internship opportunity. This position will be located at our Defense Systems Sector in Roy, UT. The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Strategic Deterrent Systems Division (SDSD). Intern will work with Core Platform and Repos team in kubernetes practices and Gitlab usage.

Basic Qualifications

• Be a student who is enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university and will be enrolled full time in Fall 2027.
• Be majoring in or having majored in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
• Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2027.
• Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.70/4.0 or higher.
• Current active Secret Security Clearance or higher.

Intern Pay Range for Roy, UT:

• Bachelor’s: $23.00 to $29.00 per hour
• Master’s: $32.75- $35.50 per hour
