Job summary

Associated Bank is offering a 2027 Credit Analyst Trainee role in Milwaukee, on-site, as part of a five-month program beginning May 24, 2027. You will learn credit evaluation, support underwriting, and gain exposure to C&I and CRE lending while connecting with Portfolio Managers and Credit professionals.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in a related field and internship experience, with a focus on credit analysis concepts and customer relationships.

About Our Credit Analyst Program

Build your foundation for a career in credit and commercial banking. During Associated Bank’s five-month Credit Analyst Program, you’ll combine hands‑on experience with dedicated training, projects and opportunities to learn from experienced colleagues across the organization. You’ll build connections with peers, mentors and banking professionals while gaining exposure to how we evaluate credit, support clients and develop financial solutions. Throughout the program, you’ll put what you’re learning into practice and build the knowledge, confidence and experience to create a strong foundation for your career at Associated Bank.

Join Associated Bank as a 2027 Credit Analyst Trainee - Business Banking, where you’ll analyze financial statements, assess credit risk, support underwriting activities, and assist with managing commercial client portfolios. You’ll work closely with Portfolio Managers, Relationship Managers, and Credit professionals while gaining exposure to both Commercial & Industrial (C&I) and Commercial Real Estate (CRE) lending. Participants gain the skills and experience needed to pursue future opportunities within portfolio management, commercial banking, credit, and other commercial banking functions. This role is located in Milwaukee, WI and is on‑site. The Credit Analyst Program begins on May 24, 2027.

Education & Experience Required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field

  • Successful internship experience with other banks or financial institutions
  • Demonstrated customer service and relationship‑building skills
  • Experience with or exposure to financial and credit analysis concepts
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
