Summer Interns complete a 10 week internship centered around professional development, career growth and building the necessary skills to succeed. Summer Interns participate in projects and department initiatives that accelerate career growth and play an important role in building the future of the Bank. As an Intern, you will gain exposure to other departments through guest speakers and industry leaders and a built-in network with peers as well as priority consideration for full time opportunities throughout the Bank.

Department Description:

Commercial Treasury Management Implementation & Fulfillment (TMIF) is responsible for onboarding commercial clients to M&T Bank's Treasury Management products and services. The team partners with clients, Sales, Product, Operations, and Technology teams to implement payment, reporting, receivables, payables, and cash management solutions. Team members coordinate project execution, support process improvement initiatives, and help ensure clients have a seamless experience from implementation through successful adoption of their treasury services. The team plays a key role in delivering operational excellence, client satisfaction, and innovation across the Commercial Bank.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Complete duties and responsibilities of an entry-level professional nature specific to assigned area of the Bank.
• Ensure activities adhere to established internal policies and external regulations as applicable.
• Understand and adhere to the Company's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance to the Company's Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
• Design, implement, maintain and enhance internal controls to mitigate risk on an ongoing basis. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
• Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
• Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
• Complete other related duties as assigned.
