Under Canvas in Zion, Utah is seeking a Seasonal Facilities Technician to maintain and repair tents, amenities, and camp infrastructure, ensuring safety and operation for guests and team members. Responsibilities include mechanical, electrical, plumbing tasks and general upkeep across multiple facilities.

The role is hourly and seasonal, with potential housing provided for the duration of employment; prior maintenance experience and the ability to work outdoors in varied conditions are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of maintenance experience with minimal supervision.
• Experience with plumbing, septic systems, propane systems, generators, or similar trades preferred.
• Outdoor enthusiast who can work long, flexible hours in various weather conditions.
• Team player with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Electrical Systems, Hand and Power Tools, HVAC Systems, Plumbing, Safety Standards and Procedures.

Responsabilités

Summary

As a Facilities Technician, you work closely with the Facilities Supervisor to ensure our glamping location is well-maintained, safe, and operational for both team members and guests.

You play an important role in our success by performing daily maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep of tents, amenities, equipment, and property grounds. Depending on the camp location, responsibilities may range from general maintenance tasks to more technical work involving mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

This is a seasonal, hourly position that includes the option of team member housing for the duration of employment.

• Effective Communication

Key Responsibilities

• Interact regularly with guests and team members in a professional and helpful manner.
• Think critically and respond quickly and effectively to changing situations on property.
• Demonstrate a proactive, solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
• Perform general upkeep and maintenance of tents, plumbing systems, propane water heaters, stove pipes, decks, trailers, vehicles, generators, solar power equipment, and other camp infrastructure.
• Complete day-to-day maintenance and repair work for camp facilities, which may include:
  • Up to 80 luxury outdoor accommodations with plumbing
  • Communal shower and restroom facilities
  • Laundry facilities
  • Restaurants and common areas
  • Fire pits, outdoor recreation areas, and related equipment
• Work alongside Facilities team members under the direction of the Facilities Supervisor or Manager.
• Support multiple departments as needed to ensure overall camp operations run smoothly.
• Work efficiently to meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Two or more years of experience performing maintenance work with minimal supervision.
• Experience with plumbing, septic systems, propane systems, generators, or similar trades preferred.
• Outdoor enthusiast who can work long, flexible hours in various weather conditions.
• Team player with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of:

Additional Information

• This position requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) when applicable.
• This position requires the ability to independently lift a minimum of 45 lbs.
• Physical demands include extensive walking, standing, bending, twisting, lifting, and maneuvering in an outdoor environment on uneven surfaces.
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, snow, humidity, and wind.
• This position may be contingent upon the satisfactory completion of a background check and/or motor vehicle record check, as required by Under Canvas.
