Job summary

StepStone is seeking a Business Development Analyst/Intern to assist client-facing sales professionals and the Global BD team. You will help manage Salesforce data, generate reports, and coordinate event logistics while supporting scheduling and calendar management.

The role provides exposure to private markets, client engagement, and the business side of investment services. Hybrid work option, with an application deadline of Sept 18, 2026.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student graduating December 2027 through June 2028.
• Must be able to work legally in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• GPA of 3.2 or above.
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to learn new concepts and apply them.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to be a self-starter who can work independently.

The team you’ll join

The Business Development ("BD") team helps grow StepStone's business by building relationships with current and prospective investors around the world. Working closely with teams across the firm, Business Development supports fundraising efforts, prepares client presentations and marketing materials, analyzes market trends, and helps communicate StepStone's investment strategies and capabilities. This team offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to private markets, client engagement, sales strategy, and the business side of the investment industry.

Position Overview

This role supports StepStone's local BD efforts by helping client-facing sales professionals. The BD Analyst/Intern will also support the Global BD team on an ad-hoc basis under the direction of the head of sales operations.

What you’ll do

• Update and maintain data in the firm's CRM system (Salesforce) on behalf of and in conjunction with the BD team

What we’re looking for
