  • Familiarity with Revit is a plus.

Summer 2027 - Building Technology Engineering Internship Opportunity at HGA!

Locations: Milwaukee, WI or San Francisco, CA

Begin to build your future at HGA!We have an excellent opportunity for a college or graduate school student for a paid summer internship in summer of 2027. The summer internship is typically 12 weeks in length beginning on or before June 1, 2027, through mid-August (depending on your schedule).

What you'll do:

As a Building Technology Engineering Intern, you'll gain exposure to a wide variety of engineering experiences, including:

  • Assist with the preparation of engineering designs, project solutions, and construction documents.
  • Support engineering design calculations and analyses under the guidance of licensed professionals.
  • Research applicable codes, standards, and regulations while collaborating with project teams and public agencies.
  • Review and analyze reports, drawings, specifications, test results, and other project-related data.
  • Utilize Revit, Microsoft Office Suite, and other engineering software tools to support project deliverables.
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other team members to contribute to project success.
  • Participate in project meetings and gain exposure to multidisciplinary design processes.
  • Visit construction sites to assist with field observations, information gathering, and documentation, as opportunities arise.
  • Develop technical, professional, and communication skills through hands-on project experience and mentorship.

What you'll bring:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Preferred fields of study may include Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related discipline, depending on the practice area.
  • Rising junior, senior, or graduate-level students are encouraged to apply.
  • Familiarity with Revit
  • Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills, with a desire to learn in a collaborative environment.
  • A GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.

Salary Information:

The pay range listed aligns to the geography of the office for which this position is posted. Hourly Rate: $24.00/hour - $25/hour (Milwaukee, WI) and $30/hour (San Francisco, CA).
