Job summary

Textron is seeking an entry-level Associate Procurement Specialist in Georgia to support daily material planning, PO creation, and supplier coordination. This role offers exposure across functions, mentorship, and hands-on growth within a Fortune 500 engineering and manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include analyzing material demand, placing purchase orders, expediting to match production, and monitoring supplier performance while ensuring on-time delivery and cost savings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field required.
• 0–2 years of experience required.
• Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Analyze raw material demand for purchase and on‑time delivery in an MRP environment to ensure accuracy and adherence to the schedule.
• Place purchase orders and expedite materials to meet weekly production plans.
• Implement and document comprehensive plans for all part number changes or usage changes.
• Analyze domestic and international shipping forecasts to achieve optimal inventory levels.
• Track actual and potential supply and delivery to provide timely communications and analysis to management.
• Assess supplier performance against goals by monitoring quality acceptance rates, delivery performance, and cost savings.
• Disposition discrepant material as needed.
• Create purchase orders and ensure appropriate delivery.
• Communicate with vendors to obtain product, price, availability, and delivery information
