Job summary

Air Liquide_U.S. is recruiting for its ALLEX Rotational Program in Houston, TX. The 24-month track introduces college engineers to the industrial gas industry through three eight-month rotations across Technical, Operations, Project and Business functions.

Participants gain hands-on experience, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and transition into a full-time role at program end. Bachelor's in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering with GPA 3.2 and relocation willingness are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or in a closely related field.
• Expected graduation in May 2027.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale.
• Must be able to provide own daily transportation to/from work.
• Must secure and finance own housing.
• Previous co-op or intern experience required.
• Eligible to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must be open to relocate anywhere in the US during/post program.

Responsibilities

Our ALLEX Rotational Program is designed to introduce college students to Air Liquide and the industrial gas industry. Air Liquide supplies oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen and many other specialty gasses, molecules, services and technologies to a wide range of industries, providing customers with innovative solutions that are vital to their industrial production and sustainability. Located in over 78 countries, we have more than 1,000,000 customers globally in diverse industries such as steel, food and beverage, electronics and pharmaceuticals.

Available ALLEX Traditional Track (24 months): Three, eight month rotational job assignments, this track is structured to accelerate the development of critical industry knowledge, practical skills and hands‑on experience. Participants rotate across Technical, Operations, Project, or Business functions, collaborating with various teams across the organization. The program provides participants the opportunity to work on challenging projects that foster innovation and creative thinking. Upon successful completion of the program, participants transition into a full‑time position within the organization.

Available ALLEX Base Ops Track (24 months): Hydrogen-Carbon Monoxide production (HyCO) Base Ops Program, Air Separation Unit Base Ops Program, SIO Base Ops, Plant Engineering Base Ops. The ALLEX Base Ops Program Participant is designed for candidates that are interested in pursuing a technical path and strengthening and developing their engineering knowledge. Rotations are pre‑defined by our technical experts. Upon successful completion of the program, participants will be placed in a plant engineering role before returning to a technical role.

• Able to work with all levels of employees and management within the organization

• Willingness and desire to travel and remain mobile during and upon successful completion of the program
