Job summary

Florida Blue is seeking an Actuarial Intern in Jacksonville, FL. You will own real, high-impact projects and conduct analyses informing strategic decisions across our actuarial teams. You will learn from a dedicated mentor and build cross-functional knowledge while preparing to present your summer project to the department.

The internship emphasizes collaboration, technical skills (SAS/SQL/VBA), and strong communication. Housing is provided near campus for Summer 2027.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a full-time student and not graduating before Fall 2027.
• Cumulative 3.0 GPA or higher.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Intern housing is provided near the St. Johns Town Center and less than 10 miles from the beach!

Required Skills:

• Currently enrolled as a full-time student and not graduating before the Fall 2027 semester
• Cumulative 3.0 or better GPA
• Basic PC skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Previous project experience or health care related work
• Excellent written and verbal communication and the ability to collaborate with others
• Knowledge of programming languages (e.g. SAS, SQL, VBA, etc.)
• Time management
• Cumulative 3.2 or better GPA
• Detail-oriented

General Physical Demands: Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects. Jobs are sedentary if traversing activities are required only occasionally.

Hourly Pay Range: $22 - $36

Typical Hourly Pay Range: $22 - $27

Final pay will be determined with consideration of market competitiveness, internal equity, and the job-related knowledge, skills, training, and experience you bring.
