Job summary

Carney, Sandoe & Associates seeks Teaching Fellows for the 2027-2028 school year in the Boston area. Fellows will teach in middle and/or upper school, work with a mentor, and participate in residential life where applicable.

Fellows are recent graduates with teaching or coaching experience, expected to contribute to the school community beyond the classroom, and collaborate with fellow teachers to build essential skills. Housing support may be available at boarding schools.

• Bachelor's degree required; 2027 grads welcome.
• Recent graduate with teaching, tutoring, or extra-curricular experience.
• Interest in contributing to school community beyond the classroom as coach, advisor, or leader.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support students with skill instruction while observing classes.
• Work with a mentor and cohort to learn teaching techniques.
• Teach several sections for middle and/or upper school.
• Participate in professional development to expand teaching skills.
• Coach or support extracurricular activities.
• Chaperone weekend activities if applicable.
• May live on campus and participate in residential life duties if applicable.

Carney, Sandoe & Associates, an education recruitment firm, is currently seeking Teaching Fellows for the 2027-2028 school year at private and independent schools in the Boston area.

Fellowship programs identify aspiring or early career educators (typically recent college graduates) with an interest in day or boarding school teaching experience. Fellowship programs provide individuals with the training, skills, and experience they need to succeed as educators, as well as extensive mentoring and support. Fellowships are available for a variety of teaching subjects. Teaching Fellows will teach in an academic department and fully participate in the residential (if applicable) and co-curricular life of a school.

• Work collaboratively with other teachers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• U.S. Work Authorization required.
