Job description

Established in 1988, Seven Hills Winery is proud to be among the founding estates of Walla Walla Valley. As pioneers who first championed the region, our heritage includes longstanding relationships with the most renowned growers in the Northwest and a deep knowledge of the land. Our focus is crafting Merlot and Cabernet-based wines that authentically reflect their places of origin, and our estate Seven Hills Founding Vineyard represents the first significant plantings of Bordeaux varietals in Walla Walla Valley. We’re housed in the historic Whitehouse‑Crawford Building in downtown Walla Walla.

Position Summary

Seven Hills Winery is seeking seasonal cellarhands for the 2026 Harvest Season. The job will encompass all aspects of the winemaking process. Prior cellar or harvest experience is a plus but not required; we’ll train on all equipment and vehicles that are required to know. Enthusiastic candidates will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience both in winemaking and cellar operations. The position will start mid‑to end of August and run through November, or the natural end of the season. This is a manual labor position with lots of hands‑on experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Work to the expectations of the winemaker, adhere to safety standards and protocols.
  • Engage in all aspects of cellar work including but not limited to: sorting and processing, wine additions, cap management including pump over and punch downs, tank digging, transferring wine, operating the press and filling barrels.
  • Maintain the sanitation of all tanks and equipment including pumps, parts, lines and tools.
  • Support grape sampling, laboratory and other cellar operations as assigned.

  • Ability to work in all types of conditions including confined spaces and from ladders.
  • Positive work attitude both as a teammate and independently.
  • Keen eye for detail and ability to follow through on given tasks both verbal and written.
  • Strong, reliable work ethic.

The projected hourly pay range for this position is $18 to $20 per hour. The range is the projected compensation for this position, however the actual compensation offered may vary based on job‑related factors such as (but not limited to) candidate qualifications, related experience and education, candidate work location and market data. Crimson Wine Group reserves the right to modify the pay range/rate at any time in the future.
