Job description

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with implant material processing groups and process demonstrations, processing wafers, measuring wafers, modeling and simulating processes, analyzing results, and documenting.
  • Participate in development projects involving wafer processing, desired metrology, and present updates in group meetings.
  • Support process engineering through procurement, shipping samples, and tracking inventory functions.
  • Start date: Summer 2026.
  • Must be available to work 6‑9 months on site at our Gloucester, MA location.
Requirements
  • Preference for students currently pursuing a Doctoral degree in Materials Science & Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related semiconductor field.
  • Student must be in good academic standing with a preferred GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale.
  • Hands‑on expertise in thin film material characterization techniques such as ellipsometry, electrical IV/CV measurements, FTIR, microscopy, and mechanical properties testing.
  • Familiarity with modeling methodologies such as FEM, Monte Carlo simulations, etc., and knowledge of modeling automation techniques is a big plus.
  • TCAD highly preferred.
Compensation

$41 - $50 per hour
