Job summary

TP-Link Systems Inc. in Irvine, CA is seeking a recent graduate to join our embedded software team. You will help design, develop, and improve core software powering our devices, working with hardware, cloud services, and peripherals.

The role offers hands-on experience across multiple engineering domains, mentorship from experienced engineers, and exposure to real-world systems used by millions of customers. A CS/CE degree and C/C++ experience are required, with US work authorization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Internship, co-op, research, or project experience in software development or a related technical field.
  • Proficiency in C/C++.
  • Understanding of fundamental computer science concepts.
  • Familiarity with the software development lifecycle.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, curiosity, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.
  • Willingness to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies, tools, and frameworks.
  • Must have continuous work authorization in the US without the need for visa sponsorships.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design, development, and deployment of scalable software systems and products across a range of engineering domains.
  • Build, test, and maintain high-quality code for applications, services, or system-level software.
  • Collaborate on the development of core components, which may include user-facing applications, backend services, or system-level modules (e.g., networking, connectivity, storage, or device integration).
  • Work with modern development tools, frameworks, and environments.
  • Contribute to testing efforts, including unit, integration, and system-level validation to ensure reliability and performance.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver effective technical solutions.
  • Learn and apply best practices for performance, scalability, and efficiency across different system layers.
  • Stay curious – explore new technologies and contribute ideas that shape future products.

Salary range: $100,000 - $120,000
