Job description

Project 26 is the home for Pennsylvania youth who are ready to challenge the far‑right's attack on our futures and build a Pennsylvania where Gen‑Z can lead and thrive.

In 2025 alone, President Trump has signed over 200 Executive Orders that have directly impacted millions of Americans and led to:

  • The loss of basic human rights and the separation of families due to unjust ICE raids
  • A massive increase in the wealth of the top 1% at the expense of basic healthcare and unbiased public media funding
  • An economy where tariffs and inflation are so high that millions of people are working multiple jobs and still can’t pay their bills
  • Widespread feelings of hopelessness and outrage among young voters

The outcome of Pennsylvania’s 2026 elections will determine the balance of power in the House, which will influence the make‑up of Congress. This will allow us to create a congress that can hold the President accountable to representing the people, not billionaires.

In 2026, young Pennsylvanians will have the opportunity to elect a Governor, who will be instrumental in standing up to a government that has constantly overlooked the youth. With an estimated 793,555 registered voters across the state, Gen‑Z has the power to determine the outcomes of these elections—if we get organized now.

Since 2023, P26 has built a team of strong youth advocates for Gen‑Z and has worked to create a community for us in politics through peer‑to‑peer outreach, —and we’re building a scrappy and innovative team that will organize and inspire thousands of PA youth to vote in both the Primary and General Elections in 2026.

What Will You Do?

Our Digital Fellows will be a part of our in‑house influencers cohort and work alongside our Campus Organizing Team to:

  • Build our own social media following and engagement through working with professional social media & comms strategists.
  • Film and edit short‑form (up to 3 min) creative videos that will help mobilize students for Pennsylvania’s 2026 elections.
  • Film and edit short‑ish form (up to 5 min) creative content to educate and mobilize Gen‑Z on YouTube.
  • Create static content and designs that will engage and educate student voters.
  • Build regional social media strategies and amplify key content to engage youth voters around PA’s 2026 elections.

This is an excellent opportunity to get an inside look at how campaigns work and gain pivotal experience in crafting content that emphasizes key messages, while providing critical resources for young voters.

Our Digital fellowship will start in late Jan and run through November 13, 2026. Fellows will spend 15‑20 hours a week mobilizing on their campus by filming, editing, developing concepts, engaging their followings, and talking to students about the importance of the upcoming elections. Fellows will be expected to produce and post a minimum of 8 pieces of short‑form content per week.

Content will be shared on our statewide Project 26 accounts including Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, students’ personal and/or influencer accounts, and campus‑specific social accounts. This is a paid fellowship.

Who Are You?

As a successful candidate for this job, you will:

  • Be comfortable being on camera
  • Understand the correct tone & pace for short‑form video
  • Create content that sounds natural & organic, rather than scripted & pre‑informed
  • Seek out and consume noteworthy content and current events—synthesize and interpret that for a young audience
  • Ensure brand consistency across platforms
  • Stay current with pop culture and politics‑related trends on social media and be able to adapt them to our P26 brand
  • Demonstrate an ability to condense information into under a minute in a way that is interesting to those with limited knowledge and/or interest in politics
  • Have a passion for using political engagement to build a future when Gen‑Z can thrive and be ready to jump in and inspire young people to get involved
  • Be excited to think outside the box and to ideate and innovate to find the most exciting and effective content to mobilize youth voters in your region
  • Be eager to talk to as many students as possible (and be comfortable talking to a lot of strangers/potential volunteers) in person and online
  • Be creative and flexible; able to manage several tasks simultaneously
  • Be exceptionally well‑organized, and have strong time management skills
  • Be enrolled at a Pennsylvania college or university and/or a Pennsylvania resident.
Preferred Experience, not required:

Canva, CapCut, TikTok, Instagram, Instagram Edits, YouTube, G‑Suite, Discord
