Job summary

Crowley ISD seeks an Instructional Aide II SPED at Sycamore Elementary School. You will support students with moderate to severe delays under the supervision of a certified teacher and a principal.

Qualifications

Overview:

This position will be working with students who may have moderate to severe delays. Help special education teacher provide for physical and instructional needs of students with disabilities in special education setting. Assist in implementation of classroom programs, including self-help, behavior management, and instruction programs. Work under general supervision of principal and immediate direction of certified teacher.

Qualification:

Education/Certification:

• Associates degree or at least 48 hours of college coursework completed (an unofficial college transcript will be required prior to hiring)

Special Knowledge/Skills:

• Ability to work with children with disabilities
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Knowledge of general office equipment

Experience:

• Some experience working with children

Work Calendar: 187 days Salary determination will be based on verified relevant work experience.

Salary will be adjusted to your start date.
