Department

Computer Science – a long‑established and large program at Sacramento State that serves roughly 1600 major students and offers a wide array of courses for both majors and non‑majors.

Position Summary

Part‑time lecturer duties include instruction, course preparation, grading, and office hours. Additional classroom or departmental duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver instruction for assigned courses.
  • Prepare lecture materials and assessments.
  • Grade student work and provide feedback.
  • Maintain office hours for student support.
  • Assist with departmental needs as required.
Rank and Salary

Initial rank and salary are based on professional experience and educational background. Most new lecturers are hired at Lecturer A or Lecturer B. Salary ranges are defined by the hiring department and are based on a “full‑time rate” of 15 Weighted Teaching Units (WTUs). Pay is pro‑rated for the units taught and paid in six installments.
