Southern Lehigh School District is seeking a Substitute Custodian for the 2026-2027 school year. The role includes custodial work, facility setup for events, and basic maintenance tasks.
The position requires experience in custodial services, familiarity with approved cleaning equipment and chemicals, and adherence to safety guidelines. The successful candidate will assist with grounds care and snow/ice removal as needed and will participate in mandatory safety trainings and meetings.

We invite prospective applicants to apply for the position of Substitute Custodian at the Southern Lehigh School District.
The ideal candidate will have some experience in custodial services, cleaning occupations and or facilities maintenance. Experience using cleaning equipment and chemicals approved for use in public facilities. Cleans using approved methods in accordance with district and industry standards. May be responsible for set-up of facilities for special events and activities. Observes, evaluates, and performs minor maintenance and reports larger repair concerns to the maintenance department. Provides exterior grounds and building care associated with seasonal work (grass cutting, weeding, snow and ice removal). SLSD custodians promote and follow all work safety guidance policies, procedures and protocols, including attending required meetings and training related to workplace safety practices and use of equipment.
Note: Selected candidates must be able to producevalid [1]PA State Criminal Record Check (ACT 34), [2] FBI Criminal History Record Investigation (ACT 114), [3] PA DHS Child Abuse History Clearance (ACT 151), and [4]PA Arrest/Conviction Report Certification Form (ACT 24) all within one year of issue at the time of hire.
$17.20 per hour
