Job summary

Easterseals Wisconsin is seeking a Program Specialist to support program planning and the implementation of arts & crafts, sports & games, drama, music & dance, and nature activities for campers at our Wisconsin Dells locations. The role involves large group and individualized facilitation, with about 450 hours of service across our camps.

This AmeriCorps State/National program offers benefits including training, an education award upon successful completion, a living allowance, and a stipend.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience working with children/youth preferred.
• Ability to plan and lead arts, crafts, sports, drama, music, and nature activities.

• Facilitate large group and individualized activities.
• Serve approximately 450 hours with most time at camps in Wisconsin Dells.

Easterseals Wisconsin operates Camp Wawbeek and Respite Camp in Wisconsin Dells, WI. These camps are therapeutic recreation programs for children, youth, and adults with a wide range of disabilities. Campers engage in a full range of accessible activities in a safe and supportive environment. This allows the parents and caregivers a much needed break from primary caregiver responsibilities. Member Duties

The Program Specialist will focus on program planning and implementation of arts & crafts, sports & games, drama, music & dance, and nature activities for our campers. large group and individualized facilitation of activities will be required. Member will serve 450 hours in which a majority of their service will take place at our camps in the Wisconsin Dells.
