Pioneer Grove Educational Center seeks a qualified nurse to coordinate the school health program, delivering comprehensive health services to students and staff. Under the general supervision of the Assistant Director and Principal, you will develop and implement student health plans in alignment with nurse practice standards and state policies.
This role may require travel between buildings and adherence to Illinois law and district procedures.
Under the general supervision of the Assistant Director and Principal of Pioneer Grove Educational Center, the primary role of this position will be to coordinate a school health program including the delivery of health services to students and staff members, and development and implementationof studenthealth plans. Duties are to be performed in accordance with standards of professional school nurse practices, cooperative and state board of education policies and procedures, and Illinois State law regarding nurse practice.
Bachelor of Science, current Illinois Nursing License, Type 73 certification, vision and hearing certification
Will work in a school building environment with exposure to body secretions, blood borne pathogens, medicine and medicinal supplies, illnesses and diseases. May need to travel between buildings.
