Job summary

Mountain Cat LLC seeks an experienced translator/interpreter to convert Ukrainian technical documentation into English and provide consecutive interpretation for meetings and conferences. The role requires willingness to travel monthly or longer, including austere/high-risk locations, and performing interpretation in various settings.

Applicants must hold an active TS/SCI clearance with Poly, demonstrate Ukrainian proficiency, and pass ILR level 3 translation tests.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Poly required.
• Ability to pass an English grammar test.
• Working proficiency in Ukrainian.
• Pass translation test to English at ILR level 3 or higher.
• Must pass medical clearance for travel to austere locations.

Job description

REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Poly.
• Ability to pass an English grammar test.
• Working proficiency in Ukrainian.
• Ability to pass a translation test from the source language into English with a minimum of 3 on the Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) Scale. (Higher scores qualify for higher rates.)
• Ability to pass a medical clearance for travel to any area.

PREFERRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior experience and/or training in consecutive interpretation.
