2025 Summer Programs - Adventure: Assistant Director for the Youth Leader in Training Program

Join to apply for the 2025 Summer Programs - Adventure: Assistant Director for the Youth Leader in Training Program role at Somerville Public Schools (NJ).

This position offers a base pay of $26.50/hr and involves overseeing and supporting middle school students in a summer leadership program, including planning activities, supervising staff and students, and ensuring safety and engagement.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields and 1 year of experience working with school-age children.
  • Experience in curriculum planning, supervision, and working with diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities encompass:

  • Assisting in leadership development activities, planning, and implementation.
  • Supervising field trips, managing program operations, and ensuring safety.
  • Collaborating with staff and attending required trainings and meetings.

The role is part-time, from July 7 to August 8, 2025, with specific orientation dates and a schedule of Monday to Friday, 8:15 am to 4:15 pm.
