Position Summary
The 2-phase Centrifuge Operator oversees all STF/2-phase centrifuge services at a fixed STF facility per regulations and relevant WaterBridge policies and procedures.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
The following represents most of the position's duties but is not meant to be all-inclusive or prevent other duties from being assigned when necessary. Employees are expected to comply with all regulatory, environmental, and safety rules and standards, as well as corporate policies.
- Interacting with customers in a courteous and respectful manner to ensure that customer relationships are maintained.
- Troubleshooting equipment, preparing daily reporting, performing on-the-job maintenance, and ordering equipment and supplies.
- Leading the day-to-day operations of a fixed STF facility, including processing with 2-phase centrifuges, monitoring tank levels, monitoring receiving capacity in pits, and working with facility operators regarding the types of fluids brought to the STF facility.
- Operating a 2-phase centrifuge.
- Setting appropriate pump speed according to thickness.
- Dispatching wastewater to appropriate holding tanks.
- Gauging holding tank levels before processing.
- Operating forklifts as needed.
- Operating recovery vacuum trucks and transferring oil to designated holding tanks.
- Supervising operators during service delivery.
- Training and/or mentoring new employees.
- Assisting and/or directing the daily work of other operators.
- Guiding team members and ensuring they follow proper safety and work procedures.
- Leading a 10-15 minute tailgate meeting with all team members at the beginning of work shifts.
- Attending all required safety meetings and conducting all business activities in accordance with health and safety policies and legal compliance requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma or GED.
- A valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record is required.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience with STF 2-Phase Centrifuge services is required. 1 year lead or supervisory experience is preferred.
- Live in Orla, TX, or within a 60-mile radius from Orla, TX, required.
- Company-paid housing will be provided during your working shift (if eligible).
Working Conditions/Environment
- Operates in a field environment.
- May be subject to environments that are extreme in nature, such as heat, cold, etc.
- Physical demands include:
- Standing, walking, or sitting for prolonged periods.
- Walking on uneven and vegetated terrain; sampling activities such as hand auguring for soil sample collection.
- Use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear.
- Occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds and may need to carry a self-contained breathing apparatus if needed.
- Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type
- This is a full-time position.
- 14/7 (14 days on 7 days off) Rotational Schedule.
- 12-hour shifts.
