## #2 Subscription Services Operator - 1st Shift Job DescriptionWe are hiring an experienced #2 Subscription Services Operator for our printing plant team in Eagan, Minnesota. In this role, you will review job specifications, perform set-up tasks, monitor equipment, and troubleshoot on our Core Print Solutions team. Schedule: 1st shift, 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM, with occasional overtime of up to 4 hours per day and occasional weekend shiftCompensation: $2,500 sign-on bonus after 90 days ### Key Responsibilities* Review job specifications for material and set-up requirements* Perform or delegate and oversee set-up tasks* Monitor equipment and product throughout the job run to ensure high quality* Perform moderately complex troubleshooting related to product or equipment* Communicate effectively during the shift and at shift hand-off* Evaluate the mechanical condition of equipment, complete preventative maintenance, and involve Maintenance as needed* Use computer-based workflow applications to manage files* Document activities accurately on Tier Boards and in relevant systems (MII, SAP), including material usage and equipment issues* Mark, verify, and tag loads accurately to ensure inventory accuracy* Provide work direction to others, including direct crew and other people in the workstream* Actively participate in company safety programs and help build a safe culture* Perform training as needed* Meet or exceed established quality and productivity standards using standard work procedures* Generate, implement, and sustain continuous improvement ideas and housekeeping procedures to maintain the work area* Participate in project teams as needed* Provide backup for other operators during absences and breaks* Recommend and implement process improvements ### Required Qualifications* High School Diploma, GED, or higher* Experience leading and training others* Experience working in an industrial setting with a wide range of production machinery* Strong mechanical and technical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot, make decisions, and resolve machine issues* Experience with Lean and continuous improvement* Competent with rulers and measurement tools* Good communication skills* Able to run multiple pieces of equipment* Experience on perfect binders with up to 40-station collators, 3-knife trimmers, inline boxing, and palletizing* Experience with hard-cover casing-in lines, collating or kitting lines with up to 30 streamfeeder stations, packaging or cartooning lines, Sitma mail lines, Aster sewing equipment, and hot foil stampers* Able to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and production orders* Able to regularly lift at least 5 lbs. above the shoulder, and occasionally push, pull, and lift at least 10 lbs. up to 50 lbs.* Able to regularly stand, walk, crouch, bend, reach, and kneel* Able to wear personal protective equipment, including steel-toe shoes and ear protection ### Preferred Qualifications* Vocational or technical degree #LI-CB1**What’s in it For You?*** **Flexibility & Work-Life Balance:** Flex My Way is a set of supportive workplace policies designed to help manage personal and professional responsibilities, whether caring for family, giving back to the community, or finding time to refresh and reset.
