Job summary

The Goddard School of Simpsonville - Five Forks is seeking a full-time teacher for our 2-3 year old classroom to nurture young minds in a caring and engaging environment.

You will plan developmentally appropriate activities, create a safe classroom, and partner with families to support each child's growth and learning journey. A team-focused, patient, and energetic approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a passion for working with young children and their families.
• Previous experience in a preschool or early childhood setting preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Creative, energetic, and patient demeanor.
• Background check clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities.
• Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment.
• Foster social, emotional, and cognitive development through play-based learning.
• Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress and development.
• Engage with children throughout the day making strong, positive connections.
• Observe and assess children's developmental milestones and needs.
• Assist children with potty training, basic care needs.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers to enhance the educational experience.
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom space.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training.
