Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Welder for 1st shift in Westlake, OH. The role involves performing MIG, flux core, arc, and TIG welding on structural components and pipes, reading blueprints and weld symbols, and organizing fabrication tasks in a safety-focused environment.

You will layout, fit, and weld parts, inspect weld quality, and participate in preventive maintenance of equipment. This contract-to-hire role emphasizes teamwork and strict safety adherence, with a starting pay of $25–30 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols.
• Ability to perform MIG, FCAW, arc, and TIG welding.
• Experience in metal fabrication environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols to complete welding tasks.
• Perform MIG, flux core, arc, and TIG welding on materials including structural components and pipe.
• Layout and fit components for welding, including basic pipefitting.
• Maintain, repair, and fabricate parts for industrial equipment as needed.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and report findings.
• Inspect welds for bead size and quality per standards.
