Job summary

Daifuku North America is looking for a skilled Welder based in Hobart, Indiana. This position requires operating welding machinery and interpreting blueprints to ensure precision in metal fabrication.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of welding experience and an AWS D1.1 certification. A comprehensive benefits package is included. Working hours are Monday to Friday, from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Welders join metal parts using high heat application to form permanent bonds.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Operating welding machine that feeds wire to bond materials
• Planning work by interpreting blueprints
• Determining welding position and type of metal to be fused
• Selecting and setting up welding equipment
• Ensuring welds meet standards and specifications
• Employees are responsible to comply with all requirements of Daifuku's QMS policies and procedures.
• Employees are to ensure sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement to provide leading industry performance and exceptional customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; Certificate or Associate degree in welding
• Minimum 3-5 years experience in welding
• AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Certification

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:

• Good mechanical aptitude
• Ability to read blueprints
• Knowledge of hand tools and power tools

• Knowledge of quality assurance and self-inspection techniques

• Crane operation experience preferred, but not required
