Job summary

PLA and its Family of Companies is seeking a Warehouse Material Handler I for 1st shift at our Johnstown, NY location. You will assist with sorting, moving, and staging pallets, totes, and merchandise, ensuring accurate placement and preparing shipments while maintaining safety and quality.

This full-time role offers a standard 7:30 am to 4:00 pm schedule, competitive hourly pay of $17.50–$20.50, and benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and PTO.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse or production environment preferred.
• Strong attention to detail for quality inspections.
• Mechanical aptitude for minor repairs and using tools.
• Ability to follow safety procedures while moving products.
• Reliable with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe movement of products including pallets, totes, or merchandise.
• Review products to ensure proper placement.
• Prepare pallets or totes for shipment.
• Perform minor repairs on pallets or totes as needed.
• Conduct sortation, inventory, and quality inspections.
• Support and improve overall team operations.
• Adapt to new assignments and schedules as required.
• Maintain consistent and reliable attendance.
