Job summary

Eaton in Indianapolis seeks a Material Handler for 1st shift to support inbound/outbound distribution operations. The role offers an hourly rate of 23 per hour and emphasizes safe, accurate order fulfillment and material handling in a dynamic warehouse.

Responsibilities include receiving, labeling, put away, order picking, replenishment, and operating RF scanners and WMS to ensure correct shipments. Overtime may be required to meet demand.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Operate material handling equipment.
• Good physical condition and ability to lift heavy objects.
• Certification of powered industrial equipment is necessary.
• 1 year of warehouse/distribution center experience driving reach truck or order/cherry picker.
• Relocation is not provided; candidates within a 50-mile radius of Indianapolis, IN will be considered.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must be able to work specific shift hours and overtime based on customer demand.
• Preferred: Oracle Warehouse Management System experience.
• Preferred: 3 years' experience in a warehouse/distribution center environment.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill functions in a Distribution Center: Receiving, Labeling, Put away, Order Picking, Slotting, and Replenishment.
• Read tasks via RF scanner/WMS and pick correct items.
• Count goods and complete tasks via electronic WMS.
• Inspect picked/put away items for damage.
• Store materials in designated warehouse locations with proper labeling.
• Load and verify outbound materials against shipments.
• Safely operate forklifts (reach/order/cherry picker, pallet jacks) and other equipment.
• Resolve discrepancies and ensure order picking/put away accuracy.
• Follow instructions and company policies including housekeeping.
• Maintain safety and quality; perform lower-class tasks if necessary.
• Use RF scanner and computer keyboard.
• Must lift 50 pounds without assistance.
• Continuous standing, bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling.
• Support 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Capable of managing multiple tasks without loss of efficiency.
• Other duties as assigned.
