Job summary

Kent Quality Foods is seeking an experienced warehouse Hi-lo driver for our Hudsonville, MI location. You will help keep materials moving between manufacturing areas, maintain accurate inventory, and work safely in freezer conditions.

This role suits a team-oriented person who thrives on constant movement. The position is first shift, Monday through Friday, starting at 6:00 am, with 8–10 hour shifts and occasional Saturdays to support production and shipping.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of warehouse, logistics, materials, inventory control, or manufacturing experience.
• Forklift certification and safe equipment operation experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of safe warehouse practices and OSHA safety requirements.
• Experience with inventory control, cycle counts, and accurate warehouse transactions.
• Experience using ERP systems, warehouse management software, barcode scanners, or RF devices.
• Experience with lot tracking, serial numbers, traceability, raw materials, WIP, and finished goods inventory is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurate and timely picking/assembling of frozen customer orders.
• Locate and arrange products to maximize space in freezer and staging areas.
• Safely load and unload trailers and delivery trucks while ensuring proper weight and sequencing.
• Scan barcodes, verify product numbers and labels.
• Assist in weekly physical inventory.
• Record all movements of product in freezer on slot sheet.
• Relabel common products to customer specifications.
• Master-pack products to customer specifications.
• Move pallets and goods between storage racks, loading docks, and production workstations.
• Lift up to 60 lbs regularly.
• Maintain clean and uncluttered staging and freezer areas.
• Adhere to safety protocols and OSHA standards to prevent accidents.
• Maintain FIFO practices and procedures.
• Uphold all standard operating procedures and food safety practices.

Kent Quality Foods is looking fo an experienced warehouse Hi-lo driver at our hudsonville, MI location. In this role, you\"ll be part of a warehouse team that is tasked with keeping materials moving beetween manufacturing areas, maintaining accurate inventory, and working safely and efficiently. This opportunity is a good fit for a team-oriented person who enjoys constant movement and is comfortable working in freezer and refrigerated enviroments.

This is first shift position is scheduled Monday throught Friday. shifts begins at 6:00 am and typically last 8-10 hours. Ocassionally Saturday or adjusted hours may be needed to support production, shipping, cycle counts, or other business needs.

What you'll do:

Qualified Candidates will bring:

• 1+year of warehouse, logistic, materials, inventory control, or manufacturing experience.


• Forklift or reach truck certification and safe equipment operation experience is preferred.


• knowdledge of safe warehouse practices and commitment to follow OSHA and company safety requirements.


• Experience with inventory control, cycle counts, and accurate warehouse transactions is preferred.


• Experience using ERP system, warehouse management software, barcode scanners, or RF devices is preferred.


• Experience with lot tracking, serial number, traceability requirements, raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods inventory is preferred.


• Strong organization, attention to detail, dependability, integrity, and follow-through.

The starting pay rate is $19.50 per hour. Employees are also eligible for an attendance bonus valued at $1 per hour if eligible and our profit sharing program.
