Job summary

Paycom in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a dedicated Truck Driver to support our Logistics Department by transporting materials and finished products to various destinations. You will ensure safety, meet delivery schedules, and maintain accurate logs in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires at least 2 years of truck driving experience, a valid Class A license, and a DOT physical. Candidates must be able to drive long hours, comply with regulations, and pass background checks; CDL school diploma

Job Responsibilities:

• Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
• Meet delivery schedules.
• Document and log work/rest periods.
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, break periods etc.) as well as with company policies and procedures.
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.
• Collect and verify delivery instructions.
• Report defects, accidents, or violations

Qualifications: Minimum Requirements:

• Proven working experience as a truck driver. (At least 2 years)
• Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc.)
• Ability to drive long hours.
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
• No recent moving or driving violations.
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.)
• Willing to submit to background/drug & alcohol checks and provide employment recommendations.
• Trucking school diploma.
• Valid Class A driving license.

Environment/Physical Requirements with or without Accommodation:

• Must be able to lift up to 100lbs
• Must pass DOT physical
• Must have good peripheral vision
• Must be able to manipulate the vehicle into all necessary locations
• Must be able to drive in reverse using rear view mirrors
