Job summary

Alaskan Copper Works in Seattle, WA is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Assistant to verify and organize inventory and prepare items for shipment. The role requires operating equipment such as forklifts, an overhead crane, pneumatic nailers and strapping machines to complete packaging tasks.

The position is full-time, day shift, with pay between $21.30 and $22.50 per hour, and requires the ability to lift up to 100 pounds, heavy attention to detail and basic math skills.

Qualifications

• Must be detailed oriented.
• Accurately use tape measure, accurate to 1/16".
• Able to read, write, understand and communicate in English.
• Basic math skills.
• Must have neat, legible handwriting.
• Must have strong clerical skills.
• Minimum of one year forklift operating experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive and verify items, place material in bins or racks, count items and update bin cards.
• Pull items for shipment, deduct from bin cards, box, crate or skid for shipment.
• Complete documentation and load trucks.
• Operate lift trucks, pendant overhead crane, pneumatic nailers and strapping machines as needed.
