Job summary

Amentum is seeking an advanced-level Fleet Mechanic for our 1st shift in East Peoria, IL. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of fleet vehicles including UTVs, trucks, and cars, using CMMS for work orders and maintenance scheduling.

The role requires strong mechanical and electrical skills, adherence to safety programs (Lockout/Tagout), and the ability to communicate via a PC for parts orders and work orders. Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Multiple years of mechanical and electrical repair experience in fleet maintenance.
Valid driver’s license required.
Familiarity with CMMS and safety programs (Lockout/Tagout) preferred.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair fleet equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance as scheduled in CMMS.
Respond to work orders and communicate with customers while ensuring codes and standards.
Follow safety guidelines including lockout/tagout and PPE usage.
Operate diagnostic tools and a range of hand/power tools.
