Mattel is seeking a 1st shift Security Officer at the Distribution Center in Jonestown, PA. The role is on-site, requires weekend and holiday work, and involves protecting employees, guests, products and brands while applying security policies.

The ideal candidate has at least one year in security or related fields, a high school diploma, valid driver’s license and a security guard license if applicable, plus First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain it.

Qualifications

• One+ years of Security, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, Law Enforcement or military background preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must have a valid Security Guard License (IF APPLICABLE).
• Must be certified in First Aid, CPR, and Blood-borne Pathogens, OR willing to obtain certification.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with the public and with all levels of the organization in the performance of daily duties via multiple communication methods and platforms.
• Analytical abilities to think critically and make clear, well-reasoned decisions.
• Ability to work varying shifts including nights, holidays, and weekends.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business policies and procedures.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• This is an onsite position with no remote work.

Responsibilities

• Support Mattel's Global Security Strategy to protect people, assets, and Mattel's reputation by providing exceptional customer service and applying policies.
• Enforce Mattel Global Security policies to create a safe environment for all employees and visitors.
• Completes security duties as defined in SOP manuals under the direction of the Security Leader/Shift Supervisor and Security Manager.
• Completes security patrols on foot, in a vehicle and digitally to monitor the Mattel Distribution Center.
• Effectively monitors the access control system, CCTV system, and the guard tour management system.
• Monitors the fire control panel for alarms and reports issues to Maintenance personnel.
• Perform administrative data entry for incident documentation via Microsoft Office.
• Ensure adherence to badge, visitor registration, check-ins, and intern/external visitor management.
• Support IP processes around confidentiality and destruction of IP.
• Flexibility to work multiple shifts to support business needs.
