Job summary

WPSFresh is hiring for a 1st Shift Sanitation Employee to keep our refrigerated food production area clean and compliant with safety standards. The role emphasizes hands-on cleaning of equipment and production spaces to ensure food safety and quality.

You'll work Monday–Friday 7:00 AM–3:30 PM with occasional early starts or extended hours to support production needs. This is a physically active, wet environment requiring attention to detail and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Ability to work Monday–Friday 7:00 AM–3:30 PM with occasional earlier start or later stay.
• Comfortable in a cold/refrigerated environment and standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize food processing equipment and production areas.
• Disassemble and reassemble equipment for cleaning.
• Wash floors, walls, drains, and other facility areas.
• Follow sanitation procedures, SSOPs, and Master Sanitation Schedule.
• Safely mix and use cleaning chemicals with PPE.
• Complete sanitation logs and documentation.
• Report equipment damage or safety concerns to management.
• Follow GMPs, HACCP, and USDA/FDA regulations.
• Collaborate with Production and Quality teams to maintain sanitation standards.
