Job summary

Sibelco Group is seeking a Production Supervisor for the 1st shift (Mon - Fri 7 am - 5:30 pm) in Wilson, North Carolina. The role requires leading and supervising production activities while ensuring safety and efficiency. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing and a high school diploma, with a preference for college degrees.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Six Sigma certification is a plus.
• Ability to troubleshoot 480VAC / 3-phase systems.

Your Impact in This Role

Production Leadership

• Lead daily production activities, ensuring safe and efficient operations
• Supervise employees and subcontractors with safety as the top priority
• Drive accountability and encourage reporting of unsafe conditions
• Ensure compliance with permits and regulatory requirements
• Develop and manage annual production work plans

Operational Excellence

• Champion continuous improvement initiatives across the site
• Apply lean manufacturing and process optimization techniques
• Ensure production aligns with budget and operational targets
• Partner with teams to solve issues quickly and effectively

Production Planning & Execution

• Ensure production targets and schedules are met
• Collaborate closely with production schedulers and leadership
• Proactively address delays, challenges, or resource gaps

Quality, Efficiency & Cost Control

• Balance customer requirements with production efficiency
• Maintain high standards in quality, output, and cost management

People Leadership

• Lead, coach, and develop your team for long‑term success

Experience & Education

What You Bring to the Table

• High School Diploma or equivalent (College degree preferred)
• 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment

Technical Skills

• Experience with lean manufacturing / process improvement
• Knowledge of computerized maintenance systems
• Ability to troubleshoot 480VAC / 3‑phase systems
• Hands‑on experience with:
  • Mechanical conveyors, motors, pulleys
  • Rigging and heavy equipment handling

Additional Strengths

• Six Sigma certification (a plus)
• Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting ability
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel & Word required)
