Overview

Our growing company is seeking to hire 1st & 2nd Shift Production Operators. We offer competitive wages starting at $16.50/hour, with a training increase, paid time off after 90 days, sign-on bonuses up to $1,000, and medical/dental/vision benefits starting after 30 days. As an employee/owner at MEC, you will set-up, adjust, and operate several production machine tools where tooling, setup details, and operating procedures are standardized or operate and maintain setups on special purpose machines involving several progressive machining sequences.

Responsibilities

• Work from assembly drawings and specifications.
• Select and align dies in press according to specifications.
• Position work piece against fixtures or stops on machine bed or die.
• Start press and observe operation to detect misalignment or malfunction.
• Regulate air and oil pressure.
• Inspect work pieces for conformance to specifications and adjust machine accordingly.
• Package parts in appropriate containers.
• Clean and lubricate machines.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies efficiently.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Work with tooling department on new tooling and troubleshoot existing tooling issues.
• Inspect production parts and perform buddy checks.
• Troubleshoot machines and operations to improve product margins.

Schedule & Benefits

• 1st Shift: Monday - Thursday, 5:00AM - 3:30PM
• 2nd Shift: Monday - Thursday, 3:30PM - 2:00AM
• $1.50/hr shift premium for 2nd shift
• Overtime on Fridays and Saturdays as needed
